法国蒙蒙彼利埃（Montpellier）的Pierres Vives政府大楼自项目初始就倍受外界关注，皆因设计师是那位大名鼎鼎的普利兹克奖建筑师Zaha Hadid。大楼流线形的混凝土和玻璃的混合结构从外部看起来相当醒目，然而很多人不知道的是，它的内部同样很有看头。

这是由扎哈•哈迪德及合伙人事务所设计的位于法国蒙彼利埃的Pierres Vives政府大楼项目，这个项目包含三个政府机构，呈现出流线性的混凝土和玻璃结构，它将容纳多媒体图书馆，公共档案，及体育部门，预计建筑于9月13日开幕。一个内嵌的绿色玻璃剖面延伸至整个表皮，一层的大厅通过公共设施将图书馆和办公室相连，这些公共设施包括会议室，大礼堂及展厅。这些公共设施包含在一个弧形的混凝土体内，它向外突出，延展遮蔽下面首层的主要入口。

Zaha Hadid大概十年前就开始设计PierresVives，Pierre Vives 翻译成英文就是living stones（有生命的石头）的意思。由80,000 吨混凝土以及3000 吨钢筋构成，28,500平方公尺的漩涡形白色混凝土建筑，配备了绿色的玻璃，是她一贯的现代主义风格构造建筑，解构主义与空间几何结构的大胆运用使得建筑主体产生了奇妙的轻盈感。她将建筑的形式比作「统一在一张表皮之下的三个体系形成的『知识之树』。这个建筑综合体的核心就像一个树干，不同的规划空间从这里分支出去。」
